Playing in the Snow!

The kids have been so excited to make a snowman this year, so when it snowed on Saturday, and left the perfect conditions for snowman making, I couldn't resist. Who knows if we would get another opportunity this season? So I went out with the kids and helped them make a snowman. They loved it!

The Cake Decorating Class

My cake decorating class is over. I had a lot of fun, and learned a lot of things. I was glad that I was able to do it. It made for a crazy January, so I'm kinda glad the comittment is over, but I met a lot of nice people and felt like I learned how to do some cool things. These cakes only show some of the techniques. I was most excited about learning how to make the roses, and some other flowers. It is pretty cool what you can do with all the different kinds of tips.

Future Missionaries

Our boys are growing up so fast! And last Sunday, Jared said that enough was enough, and they needed new...bigger...sunday clothes. So we headed down to the store, and got the boys their own suits along with new shirts and ties. And boy do they look sharp!!! They look like little missionaries. It helped that I cut their hair the day before too. Just the cutest! It was a little hard to get them to stay still, and give me a good smile, but I think I got some cute pictures of them. Of cours nothing beats seeing them for real, but hopefully this gives you an idea!

Here's one with Breanne too. I just grabbed everyone's picture right when we got home from church that day. Only Scott isn't there because he was in bed, taking a nap...due to not going to church because of a little running nose. I will try to get one of all of them next week.

The Cake Decorating Class

For Christmas, my sister Cheryl got me cake decorating classes at Micheals. It is only for four weeks, and it is pretty basic, but I'm having fun and I've learned a few new things! So here is the cake I made last night. We had to practice the skills we worked on, and so I needed to write something, do some kind of thing with the "star-dotting" method, and do the swivel thing around the bottom. So I made this for my kids. They were all pretty excited when I brought it home. They think they will get a full fourth of the cake too. We will see about that.... Cause mom wants some too.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! 2010

Wow, I can't believe that it is 2010! The year 2009 was a good one for us, and it looks like this next year will be fun too! I hope so. I toasted to "less wieght, and more money", but it looks like I will just have to hope for the "more money" part....seeing how I will probably be gaining weight due to the pregnancy! But that is okay! The baby coming will be the highlight of this coming year! And we feel so blessed that we are having another baby.
Well, New Years Eve is always fun. We have been having a party with Jake and Melissa for the last couple of years now. The kids all have fun, and the parents try to play games and stuff. We had dinner together, and made lots of noise when the clock hit twelve! Then we always have a toast. It is a lot of fun! The kids wish they could stay up untill 12:00 every night!

Christmas Bonus!

We got a package from Seth and Caroline in the mail a couple days after Christmas! But it was really fun, because it was like "bonus presents", and everyone had a lot of fun with their suprise!

Eli loved the flash light, because now he will have one like Joshua's. (And mom is glad because now they wont fight over the other one.)

Sledding!

What a perfect day to go sledding! This Christmas breat provided us with a lot of snow, and we used it to our advantage to have a fun day sledding. It was perfect because we went just after it stopped snowing, and left just as it was starting up again. The kids did really well, and we all had yummy hot chocolate and pumpkin bread from Grandma and Grandpa Jardine! Fun stuff!

Christmas Vacation!

CHRISTMAS VACATION!

From the most recent to the past. (Pretty much in reverse of how it happened...ya know cause that it how the pictures download, unless your really paying attention....) Anyway I know there are a lot of pictures (but believe me, there are WAY more that I didn't include). I just thought I'd put all the pictures of all the stuff we did over Christmas in one big clump, and I tried to just pick the very best photos from each thing. So enjoy.......

It is a tradition to do a manger sceen. It turned really great this year. We finally have enough to have all the roles filled. Pretty cool. Breanne loves this part about Christmas. The Shepherd upfront, on the other hand, needed a bit more coaxing. Hopefully we can get him to keep doing this year after year. Mom sure loves it.

We had a "Cousin Party" this year, and my mom and dad came. It was so fun. The kids played games (like here, we tossed jingle bells in a blanket). And we "tested Santa's toys." And a bunch of other stuff.

We also decorated cookies.

And my mom did a fun art project with the kids. They made art ornaments. It was a lot of fun.

For Joshua's actual Birthday, his Aunt Melissa made it extra special and showed up with a balloon boquet! He loved it, it was a big surprise! It was really cool.

On his birthday, Joshua got to play a Dominos Tournament with Grandpa Jardine. And because Joshua won, they took him out for shakes! (And got one for the rest of us too.) Thanks! They were lots of fun, and helped to make Joshua's birthday special!

MONKEYS!!!! For Scott's birthday, we got a game called "Tumblin' Monkeys". It is like the marble version, but SO MUCH FUNNER! There is a little bit of strategy involved, and it is a lot fo fun for all ages! We had a lot of fun playing this with Aunt Missy and Uncle David (who came all the way from Pennsylvania to spend Christmas with us...Thank you!) We all had a lot of fun!

All the kids sang, and played bells. And Breanne and Joshua preformed "Fosty the Snowman" wearing the costumes you will see if you keep scrolling down.

It was a fun night. It is always fun to see the Jardine family.

Here are the snowman costumes I made for the kids performance. They were pretty easy to make, but had a big impact. Super cute! It made the night! They also preformed at my parents house on Christmas Eve.

We had a really great Christmas this year! It was so fun to spend so much time with family! The kids had a fun time and we felt so blessed to have so much this year! I love Christmas time! It was good to reflect on the true meaning too! And remember that Christ was the ultimate "gift", and that we are all so blessed because of his sacrifice for us! I was grateful for a really neat primary sharing time, that expressed this message so beautifully, and for Jared preforming in the ward choir for a really nice musical sacrament meeting. All in all, a really successful and wonderful Christmas!
