Our "Little Princess!"

Breanne was able to attend the Princess Festival this year! She LOVED it. It was such an amazing experience! The costumes were so elaborate, and the acting was fantastic. It was very believable that these were the actual princess. She got a T-shirt (that said, "I'm a true Princess.") and a book...with a story in front, and a place for autographs in the back! So we got a picture with every character, plus their autograph! (And we didn't have to wait in a two hour line for each of them...like you might have to at Disney Land!) Plus Breanne got to really interact with them. She got to go on a "quest", and do a treasure hunt. It was so much fun. I think I loved it about as much as she did!

So...way too much fun! And totally worth it! She can't wait to go next year! I'm just glad to let her love it while she is still in that "Princess phase." And I'm grateful that I have at least one littel princess, so that I can also enjoy all of this fun girly stuff!

The Teddy Bear Picnic!

Another Summer Field Trip....
We went to Cascade park and had a Teddy Bear Picnic. First we had lunch, then we played multiple "Bear" themed games. The kids all had a really fun time, and the weather was perfect! (Not to hot.)

Up the Canyon

We always love going up the canyon! And now it is finally warm enough to do it, so thanks to Breanne's persistant encouragment, we went ahead and grabbed some food, and headed up there for a quick visit. The kids had a lot of fun "exploring" in the brush. It is so fun to see their imaginations.

Summer Field Trip....Petco

Summer Field Trips have begun again! And for our first weeks activity, we went to Petco to see the animals, followed by a trip to the park. The kids had a lot of fun.

Everyone loved the different kinds of fish.

The mice and hamsters and things like that. The kids liked watching them run on those wheels.

This was my favorite thing....the little birds. They were cleaning their actuall display cage, so they were all cramed in this little cage on the floor. They were so cute all huddled together.

MEMORIAL DAY!

The kids had fun seeing all the flags and flowers at the cemetary this year. It is always a humbling experience to go there for a visit.

I love this statue. And I actually know the guy who did it. (He's really good.) But my favorite is the saying that they put on the stone. "Lest we Forget." I think it is very important to never forget the sacrafices that have been made on our behalf.
