So GRATEFUL!

Today, I'm just so grateful for my family! I love my Husband and kids! I'm so blessed! Life is so good. I also have such wonderful extended family and friends. Thank you everyone who has touched my life, and made it better!
We have so much to be thankful for. I'm grateful for this nation, and to be a member of this church. I'm grateful for the choice I made to be married in the temple, and to have these sweet kids. They are so wonderful, and cute! We find so much joy in them everyday! I'm so optomistic about this next year! I think the Lord pours out blessings upon us.
I'm also grateful for all the modern convienences we have in this day and age....like dishwashers and washing machines. Disposable diapers and wipes, running water, and indoor plumbing! And the list could go on and on!
I hope that we might all take some time to list just a few of the many things that we are grateful for, and remember how great the tender mercies of the Lord are in our lives!

The Jazz Game!

I had never been to a Jazz game, but finally...tonight, I went! Jared and I got to go because of a last minute offer for some tickets by a friend of ours! It was so great! It is hard to be away from the kids for that amount of time. But it wasn't to bad. We had great traffic (both up and back) and we were able to park really close! Our seats were in the lower bowl, and were really great! It was just so awesome to go up there and wittness the excitement! It was amazing to hear the noise, and see all the things that we see on t.v. And the players look so big! When you watch them on t.v. you don't realize just how tall they all are, because they are standing next to each other! But it was cool to see them all live! It was also fun to see what happens during the time outs and other breaks (ya know....during the commercials). All in all...a great date night! It was a lot of fun to go up with Jared and just have a great experience! Oh yeah...it did help that the Jazz won! 102-88 Against the Hornets.

I have a new nephew!

My sister had her fourth baby yesturday! We were so excited for the new arrival to our family! Congradulations Melissa! She went into labor on her own, which is what she wanted, and had a healthy, cute, baby boy! They named him Aleck Hyrum.

Curly hair!

I put pink curlers in Breanne's hair today. It looked so cute! But she has hair like mine that doesn't hold curl for very long. So it only looked that great for like 30 minutes. But Super cute while it lasted. Maybe I can try to put like a ton of gel or something in it next time....see if it stays longer. Super cute though!

The New Hair Cut!

I love my new hair cut! It is shorter than I was expecting, but it is a nice change. I probably wont need to cut it again for a while, I think I'll let it grow out again, but for now, this is a fun new look. In this picture my bangs are on the left, but I can also have them go across the the right for more of a "sweeping across" look. It also looks good with them pinned up. It is also fun to put my hair up in a "half pony" kind of thing. I'm glad that I went to the salon with a couragous attitude, and didn't do my usual "conservative" thing. A couple years ago, my sister in laws were encouraging me to cut bangs, and I think this was the length they were thinking. But at that time, I wasn't willing to do it. This time, I was like, "chop it off!" It's good to do something new every once in a while, and it will grow out fast anyway, so I went for it. This isn't the best photo, but the best I could do right now...ya know how it is. But you get the idea!

Field trip to the Bean Museum

This is a butterfly that is made totally by Butterflies! It is really something to see!

Breanne's class went to the Bean Museum! It is a fun place to go. All the animals are, well...stuffed! But they do have a lot of them! Quite an assortment. It is really interesting. I learn something new everytime I go. They even have a LIGER (Combo of a tiger and a lion).

The new temple open house

We were fortunate enough to be able to attend the Draper Utah Temple open house! It is a beautiful temple, and it was a great thing to be able to see it. After all the nights when Mom and Dad go to the temple and have to explain why they can't go, the kids were excited to finally be able to go IN the temple themselves. Especially Breanne...because temples are where princesses go in their pretty dresses to get married! So it we cool! Eli kept saying, "temple!" And, "WOW!" and, "Look at that!" I wish I could captured it on recording! It was so cute to hear his sweet voice! The neatest part was the Celestial room! It is amazing! I'm so glad that we went.
