We went to the Mt. Timpanogus temple for family night on Monday before David's wedding. So we could talk to the kids about it. It was a great night. We are so lucky to live so close to a temple.

Wow... what a great idea! That's such a wonderful way to teach your kids about eternal families. And you're right, you are lucky to have a temple so close. The closest one to us is over an hour. It's not too bad, but when we go to the temple for a date night, it turns into 5-6 hour ordeal with dinner and everything. It gets pretty expensive to pay the babysitter... but it's so worth it!
