Sledding!

What a perfect day to go sledding! This Christmas breat provided us with a lot of snow, and we used it to our advantage to have a fun day sledding. It was perfect because we went just after it stopped snowing, and left just as it was starting up again. The kids did really well, and we all had yummy hot chocolate and pumpkin bread from Grandma and Grandpa Jardine! Fun stuff!

Christmas Vacation!

CHRISTMAS VACATION!
From the most recent to the past. (Pretty much in reverse of how it happened...ya know cause that it how the pictures download, unless your really paying attention....) Anyway I know there are a lot of pictures (but believe me, there are WAY more that I didn't include). I just thought I'd put all the pictures of all the stuff we did over Christmas in one big clump, and I tried to just pick the very best photos from each thing. So enjoy.......

Here is Breanne wearing the fairy wings and the tutu that Grandma Jardine made for her! So cute!

Here is Scott wearing the cool superman cape that grandma made for him.

It even has a "S" on the back appropriate for "Scott" or Superman.

The kids opening presents at Jardines.

This is a cute shot of Scott and Daddy looking at a cool sticker book he got.

Josh at Grandma and Grandpa Mortensen's. Showing off this cool "wii remote" candy dispenser that uncle Brent (in the back) gave him.

Eli with a magnifying glass.

The "aftermath" of our Christmas.

Joshua and his new Teddy Bear.

Like my new picture frame and Scarf?

Breanne and all the Barbies that I made dresses for! She loved them. They all turned out so awesome!

Scottie!

Breanne's favorite thing was this Teddy Breat that came with tons of doll clothes! She named her Cherry!
So cute!

This his how our Christmas looked on Christmas morning.

The stockings and presents that Santa Clause brought.

Sharing their talents....The kids on Christmas Eve at the Mortensen's.

It is a tradition to do a manger sceen. It turned really great this year. We finally have enough to have all the roles filled. Pretty cool. Breanne loves this part about Christmas. The Shepherd upfront, on the other hand, needed a bit more coaxing. Hopefully we can get him to keep doing this year after year. Mom sure loves it.

As always...There was lots of food!

Breanne and Niamh at Jardine's Christmas Eve.

Grandpa always reads the Christmas story from the Bible, and we sing songs.

Grandma also gets out the chimes and some bells, and the kids play them while we sing.
Here's Aoife with a chime.

And Here is Breanne with a chime too. tHe kids love this tradition. Scott really loves the bells.

Jared and I at Jardine's.

Cheryl and Eric at the Mortensen Family Party.

Jared, picking out his White Elephant gift. This is a fun tradition that we do for the Mortensen Family Party. It is always a good laugh.

My Mom and Dad.

My brother Brent and his girlfriend.

Breanne and Kaitlyn at the party with the Johnson family (my sister Melissa's family).

Eli, opening his gift.

We had a "Cousin Party" this year, and my mom and dad came. It was so fun. The kids played games (like here, we tossed jingle bells in a blanket). And we "tested Santa's toys." And a bunch of other stuff.

We also decorated cookies.

And my mom did a fun art project with the kids. They made art ornaments. It was a lot of fun.

For Joshua's actual Birthday, his Aunt Melissa made it extra special and showed up with a balloon boquet! He loved it, it was a big surprise! It was really cool.

Happy Birthday Joshua!

On his birthday, Joshua got to play a Dominos Tournament with Grandpa Jardine. And because Joshua won, they took him out for shakes! (And got one for the rest of us too.) Thanks! They were lots of fun, and helped to make Joshua's birthday special!

Jared at Cheryl and Erics!

Here we are opening presents with Cheryl and Eric at their new beautiful house!

MONKEYS!!!! For Scott's birthday, we got a game called "Tumblin' Monkeys". It is like the marble version, but SO MUCH FUNNER! There is a little bit of strategy involved, and it is a lot fo fun for all ages! We had a lot of fun playing this with Aunt Missy and Uncle David (who came all the way from Pennsylvania to spend Christmas with us...Thank you!) We all had a lot of fun!

Cute picture of Scott at the Jardine Family Christmas Party.

Breanne and Niamh.

All the kids sang, and played bells. And Breanne and Joshua preformed "Fosty the Snowman" wearing the costumes you will see if you keep scrolling down.
It was a fun night. It is always fun to see the Jardine family.

Here are the snowman costumes I made for the kids performance. They were pretty easy to make, but had a big impact. Super cute! It made the night! They also preformed at my parents house on Christmas Eve.

Happy Birthday Scott! Here he is opening that fun mokey game.

Breanne and Douglas at their preschool Christmas performance.
We had a really great Christmas this year! It was so fun to spend so much time with family! The kids had a fun time and we felt so blessed to have so much this year! I love Christmas time! It was good to reflect on the true meaning too! And remember that Christ was the ultimate "gift", and that we are all so blessed because of his sacrifice for us! I was grateful for a really neat primary sharing time, that expressed this message so beautifully, and for Jared preforming in the ward choir for a really nice musical sacrament meeting. All in all, a really successful and wonderful Christmas!
